All that a son can reasonably expect from a father and that is present at conception. Lu Patri is Nero d'Avola conceived from the progeny progenitor of its Motherland in five hectares of Baglio del Cristo di Campobello in the spring of the year 2000.
Hand harvesting in crates and, after a successive hand sorting of the grapes on the conveyor belts, they go through the destemmer and soft crusher. There is a continuous pumping over to guarantee an optimal extraction of the substances in the skins. 18-day maceration period at temperature controlled conditions. 18 month ageing in 225 litre French-oak barriques (Nevers, Trançais, Allier), of which one third are new, and then a further 10 month ageing in the bottle.
